IN THE COMMUNITY

Every business should have a goal to use their assets and contacts to help out others along the way.  And because of our connections and abilities, Talent Tuners believes in the concept of giving back to the community.

November 9/2008, Talent Tuners presented Faith Hope Love 2007, in association with Star Tek employees (K2 location), and the Wild Stallion Saloon to raise almost $2200 for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Jackie Hieland family.  With donations from the likes of Coors Light (Molson’s), Best Western Fireside Inn, Chapters, Pizza Pizza, McGinnis Landing, Lone Star Restaurant, Canadian Tire and Country Style, Kingston Web Plex for web hosting – we gave away over well over $500 in door prizes in our first Kingston fundraising effort.  With special thanks to Dan Stoness for his “Night With Elvis”, Kasey Ferguson – Kingston’s Rocker On The Loose, Aftershock, Lisa Hart, Dennis Whitty, The Robin Edgar Band and Slinger.  Intermission performances were filled in by the Wild Stallions’ karaoke performers who we crowned as “Karaoke All Stars” for this special evening.

November 14/2009, Talent Tuners presented Eight For Eight at Whiskey Willy's in support of Joe's M.I.L.L., The Joe Chithalen Memorial Music Instrument Lending Library, in association with Party In Kingston.com. With special thanks to Craig McIntyre, Tim Aylesworth, Christine Donovan, Chase The Light, Jeff Gaulton, Kirk Armstrong, Torres Band Duo and George Chenier.

Talent Tuners will continue to be active in fundraising as the occasion arises, and look forward to making the Faith Hope Love concept an annual event.
