Why would you call Talent Tuners?  For almost thirty years, Stuart Roberts has used his time in the Canadian music industry has a continual learning experience, and has worked in many facets of the entertainment industry.
A quick summary would include radio broadcast training at Loyalist College with on air FM experience, gaining insight on the business thru interviews with “The Guess Who”, “Gino Vannelli”, “The Stampeders”, “Blood, Sweat & Tears” and others.  Promoting concerts for the likes of Max Webster, Kim Mitchell, Gowan, Goddo, Triumph, Chilliwack, Powder Blues Band, etc. Working as a booking agent in Toronto and the Pembroke/Ottawa market with acts such as Rough Trade, Red Rider, Zon, Hellfield, Octavian, comedian – Jim Carrey, See Spot Run, Eight Seconds, and popular attractions in a variety of entertainment genres.  Helped to co-ordinate several tours from coast to coast for The Pete Best Band – original drummer from “The Beatles”.  Event publicist for the Thanksgiving Jam in Pembroke for five years running using local musicians for fundraising, with over $35,000 raised to date (2007), featuring headliners such as Ronnie Hawkins, Jack DeKeyzer, Downchild Blues Band and others.  Of note, store manager of Star Records (Belleville) – arranging in store autograph sessions with Canadian rockers – Moxy and Sweeney Todd, with then lead singer – Bryan Adams.  Received store sales awards for Meat Loaf – Bat Out Of Hell and for U.K. rockers, Lonestar.  Also acted as talent buyer for Loyalist College student council contracting performers for pubs, plus clubs at CFB Petawawa including officer’s messes, buyer/promoter for Thee Place (Pembroke), and managed several attractions – including a tribute act to AC/DC.  What does mean to you? We’ve been there.  We’ve done that. We know what we are talking about!!
